PROPHESY AGAINST GOG
(Ezekiel 38 and 39)

As you will note from the dates in the heading, I have preached these two chapters at least four times. For the past 47-years, we have been threatened by Iran that they will destroy both the United States and Israel. We are watching now as the United States (Christians) and Israel (God’s covenant nation), representing the “Whole House of Israel” have come together as a powerful military force to destroy the threat of Iran.
I read through the other messages and saw how through the years; these scriptures have unfolded in judgment to those who have come against Israel and Christianity. I cannot preach it the same way I did in years past because the judgment of the nations who oppose The Whole House of Israel is now here.
39:8: …this is the day whereof I have spoken.
The purpose of this judgment is the same as we studied in the judgment of the other nations from chapters 25-35, “that they shall know that I am the LORD GOD.”
In Ezekiel, chapter 38, we are commanded to prophesy against Gog, of the land of Magog. And we did so in agreement these many years.
38:2: Son of man, set your face against Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him.
In Psalm 82, the judges and rulers of the earth are judged by God. The judgment of Gog/Magog is likewise sealed in the Word of God. Not only Ezekiel, but we the Church are the “Son of man.” The Scripture cannot be broken. It is sealed.
In Psalm 82, Asaph received a vision of the court of Heaven. This is a prophetic picture of this great assembly presided over by Elohiym, the Supreme God of all the mighty of the earth. This is not an ordinary council meeting. It is a trial and God presides as judge. Those who are being judged are the gods of the nations. The gods have a dual meaning of both the demonic princes over the earth and/or their earthly counter parts. God is standing in the court of heaven. The Word of God declares he is the judge of all the mighty (el) of the earth. The charges of God against earth’s very great judges are:
1. Not listening to true justice.
2. Corrupting what is right by judging in favor of the wrong.
3. Not defending the poor and fatherless.
4. Not doing justice to the afflicted and needy.
God makes his judgment and his sentence of death. This is a powerful Word of God and I believe that by the sealed Word of God, we the church have the authority to stand before God and decree his Word to judge the mighty ones of the earth and bring justice not only to our nation, but the nations of the earth.
82:1-2: -(T.P.T.): All rise! For God now comes to judge as he convenes heaven’s courtroom! He judges every judge and rules over every ruler! Saying, how long will you judges refuse to listen to the voice of true justice and continue to corrupt what is right by judging in favor of the wrong?
Psa. 82: 1-2: A Psalm of Asaph.
God stands in the congregation of the mighty;
He judges among the gods.
How long will you judge unjustly,
And show partiality to the wicked? Selah.
The administration of President Donald J. Trump has administered peace agreements though some are still fragile to the following nations since 2025:
· Armenia and Azerbaijan
· Thailand and Cambodia
· Israel and Iran
· Rwanda and Democratic Republic of the Congo
· India and Pakistan.
I am posting the map of Turkey to point out the Bosporus Strait which is a natural strait and an international waterway located in Turkey connecting the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara. It allows maritime connections from the Black Sea all the way to the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean via Gibraltar and to the Indian Ocean through the Suez Canal. The Bosporus is the only way for Bulgari, Georgia, Romania, southwest Russia, and Ukraine to reach the Mediterranean and other seas. This area is to be watched as control of the maritime straits become vital to the economy of the Gog/Magog nations.
Turkey is emerging as one of the primary antagonists of Israel in the Middle East.
Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39 are one prophecy and tell of a northern confederacy of nations around the Black and Caspian seas with Persia. and North Africa. These nations are ruled in the realm of the spirit by the spirit of communism and the spirit of Islam.
These nations include Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Northwest India, and Russia; plus, Persia (Iran) and North Africa (Ethiopia and Libya).
Gog is a Satanic prince personified as the chief prince in this league of nations. I did some research on the internet using the "string", "Northern confederacy of nations around the Black and Caspian Seas". These nations have economic and environmental confederacies in place. As we have studied prophetic literature in the Holy Bible, we clearly identify the Prince of Persia and the Prince of Grecia as demonic chief princes over the Middle eastern and Mediterranean nations. According to the prophecy in Ezekiel 38 and 39, These powers and principalities over these nations will come together under one demonic prince, (Gog). Russia and the northern powers have long been persecutors of dispersed Israel along with the Islamic nations. The entire prophecy belongs to the Day of the Lord. (Joel 1:15).
Russian and Iran have moved into Ukraine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Afghanistan. Since 2025, Gaza and Venezuela have been overturned in judgment.
Since I wrote this in 2008, Russia has invaded Ukraine. Some 45,000 Jews still live in Ukraine.
Ez. 39: 1-2: I am against you, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal and I will turn you back, and leave but the sixth part of you, and will cause you to come up from the north parts and will bring you upon the mountains of Israel. 38:20b: All the men upon the face of the earth, shall shake at My Presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
We are watching the fulfillment of these words as the U.S. and Israel attack Iran.
Metaphorically or spiritually the mountains of Israel refer to God's end-time people and the Kingdom of God as well as the Nation of Israel (The Whole House of Israel and be jealous for my Holy name. – Ez. 39:25.
Rom 16:20: The God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
I do not see that the literal interpretation and the spiritual interpretation are in opposition with each other. Now in the 21st Century we see the spirit of antichrist moving across the earth through the dragon (China), the beast (One World Order), and Gog/Magog. All of these nations have embraced this spirit. The Democrat party in the United States has come in agreement with the Beast System and with Islam. Russia is under the spirit of communism; and in all of these nations, terrorism, fear, and deception are the powers and principalities. God is going to put a hook in the jaw of all these spirits and destroy them (Ez. 38:4). God is going to bring these spirits to the Mountains of Israel (Nation of Israel and Sons of God i.e. The Whole House of Israel (39:25) and destroy them literally and spiritually. “And all the nations of the earth shall know that He is the Lord Our God.”
FOR THOSE READING THESE NOTES, I WILL BE PROPHESYING THIS ENTIRE PASSAGE: Yes, I have the authority of the Word of God which has already been sealed in judgment in Heaven.
Ez. 38:1-23: Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal (Western Turkey), and prophesy against him. Say, thus says the LORD GOD: Behold, I am against you O’ Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops---many people are with you. Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them. After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many people like you. Thus says the LORD GOD: On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan. You will say, I will go up against a land of unwalled villages. I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars not gates to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land…(vs.18): It will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel, says the LORD GOD, that My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: Surely in that day, there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, birds of the heavens, beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed. I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many people who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus, I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.
39:1_ Therefore, son of man prophesy against Gog, and say, thus says the LORD GOD; Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech (Moscow) and Tubal (Western Turkey).
39:2: I will turn you around and lead you on, and bring you up from the north…
39:3: Then I will knock the bow out of your left hand and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand.
39:4: You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel…I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
39:5: You shall fall on the open field.
39:6: I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. They shall know that I am the LORD.
39:7: I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name anymore.
39:8: This is the day of which I have spoken.
39:9: Those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and bucklers, the bows and arrows, the javelins and spears; and they will make fire with them for seven years.
39:11: Gog will be buried and all his multitude in the Valley of Hamon Gog.
39:12: For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land.
39:21: I will set My glory among the nations; all the nations shall see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them. The house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day forward. The Gentiles shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they were unfaithful to Me, therefore I hid My face from them. I gave them into the hand of their enemies, and they all fell by the sword.
39:28: Then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land; and left none of them captive any longer.
The land of unwalled cities looked more like the U.S.A. than Israel. Either way the Lord God in his fury and in His jealousy and in His fire shall defeat all of these devils. As long as we are walking with Jesus, we are going to be fine. “He is going to give the Church the victory…God is going to destroy those powers. They won’t destroy His sons! (Bill Britton)
God will put a hook in the jaw of Leviathan. (38:4). These are coming against the Mountains of Israel, God’s Covenant People.
The great shaking of verse 19 can be found in Hag. 2 and Heb. 12. Verse 20 tells us that every wall will fall down to the ground! (Rev. 11; 15). The fire can be found in Obad. 17; Mal. 4: 1-6. This describes the operation and the ministry of the Sons of God to sweep away the lies that these spirits have fostered. Only then can he reveal His face to the earth and usher in the Temple (Glory of God) of chapters 40-48. All enemies are going under His feet.
I believe we can compare Gog and Magog with Revelation 20. All do not have this view. Some have this broken down to pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib. I don’t think anyone knows any more about it than I do which is very little.
39:25: Therefore, says the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WILL BE JEALOUS FOR MY HOLY NAME.” Neither will I hide my face any more from them.
GOG AND MAGOG – Revelation 20: 7-8 (Millineium)
Rev. 20: 7-8: When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore.
The binding of Satan is a restraint on evil but does not extirpate it. A brief spell of renewed devilry intervenes between the thousand years and the last judgment. Satan, released from the abyss, resumes his deception of the nations, and finds obedient tools in Gog and Magog.
Here, as in Ezekiel 38:1, and in several other places where Gog appears in Jewish literature, his attack comes between the Messianic age and the Kingdom government of the New Jerusalem.
Ezekiel places Gog of the land of Magog in the precise geographical setting (Asia Minor) together with his subject-allies (from north, east and southwest of the Fertile Crescent). They are not the same as the Gog and Magog of this passage. The geographical delimitation disappears here, and the reference comprises the marginal forces of evil from the four corners of the earth. In the Sibylline Oracles, the land of Gog and Magog is located in the midst of the rivers of Ethiopia. Again, whereas in Ezek. 38:1, Magog is the territory of which Gog is ruler. Gog and Magog here, as in Sibylline and Rabbinic literature are parallel names, used together as a symbol of the world-powers opposed to God.
Gog and Magog are demonic powers and principalities who are not just regional, but will have international power during this time, i.e., one world order.
In number they are like the sand on the seashore. Ezekiel describes Gog’s army as a cloud covering the land (Ez. 18:16).
It is a great amazement to me that for 1000 years during the Millennium, Satan has been bound, the false prophet and the beast are in the lake of fire, but when Satan is again loosed on the earth those who yield their flesh to his power are in number like the sand of the seashore.
Rev. 20: 9: They came upon the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
“Camp of the saints and the beloved city” is not clarified by any of the theologians that I studied. In the New Testament, the city is a community of the true Israel, New Jerusalem. Here the saints are encamped as earlier Israel once was, in the wilderness. Is this the remnant who has been protected against her enemies in the persecution under the beast? The beloved city always means the glorified community of the saints of God. Again, these are those who have been living on the earth during the 1000-year reign of Christ.
Fire came down from Heaven and totally destroyed Magog.
Rev. 20:10: The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
This is the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels of Mt. 25:41: Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels.
The two earlier prisoners, the beast and false prophet are still there, for together with their new companion, they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. The personification of the individual persons, and figuratively; for their systems will be permanently destroyed.
